Platform Paths on Kubernetes and Radius

Published: September 2024

September 2024 was a major platform-expansion window for TraderX.

Several streams converged:

  • Initial conversion of main services for build/deploy progression (#206).
  • CI and image-scanning hardening (#222, #227).
  • Improved Kubernetes local developer experience (#232).
  • Radius deployment/modeling contributions landed (#204).

This period demonstrated both potential and tension:

  • Potential: TraderX could support richer runtime paths and platform abstraction experiments.
  • Tension: each new path increased maintenance complexity and branching pressure.

In hindsight, this was one of the strongest signals that we needed a better way to model parallel and sometimes competing paths without forcing all outcomes into one evolving code line.

That signal directly influenced the later shift to state-based spec-first generation.
